Area/extension of the environmental zone:
- The environmental zone is located in the so-called "Sanierungsgebiet".
- The border in the west is formed by the B 139, starting at the north portal of the Römerberg tunnel and ending at the Westbahn bridge; in the south it continues along the A7 Mühlkreis motorway. In the east, the boundary continues to the VÖEST bridge. In the north, the zone is bordered by the Leonfeldner-, Weilguny-, Freistädter-, Haupt-, Jäger-, Stadlbauer-, Kaar-, Landgut-, Rudolf- and Obere Donaustraße until road kilometre 3.452, from there crossing the Danube in a direct line until the intersection of the B 129 with the B 139.
- The A7 Mühlkreis motorway is exempt from the driving bans.
